US Secretary Of State Marco Rubio And DeSantis To Clinch Republican Ticket

A Rubio and DeSantis 2028 ticket sounds powerful online, but the early numbers tell a very different Republican story.Speculation has been spreading among GOP voters about a possible ticket pairing Florida’s two biggest national political names, Governor Ron DeSantis and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. On paper, it would unite two figures who both built major followings during the Trump era and turned Florida into a central stage for Republican politics. But recent polling suggests Rubio is in a much stronger position right now.A new Atlas Intel survey shows Rubio leading the 2028 Republican presidential field with 45% support among Republican primary voters nationally. Vice President JD Vance is second at 30%, while DeSantis is alone in third at 11%. No other name in the poll topped 1%.That matters because much of the “unstoppable ticket” talk has not centered on DeSantis at all. President Donald Trump has repeatedly floated the idea of a Vance and Rubio pairing, calling them a “dream team” and saying he believed they would be “unstoppable.”

Rubio also appears to be gaining momentum beyond traditional polling. Kalshi prediction market users currently see him as the most likely potential 2028 candidate to win the presidency outright, though Vance is slightly ahead of Rubio in the market for the Republican nomination.DeSantis, meanwhile, has publicly downplayed talk of another run, saying he is “not thinking about anything” related to a future campaign. Still, he has not ruled out a political comeback after his term as Florida governor ends in January 2027, with a possible Senate bid also being discussed.Florida has shaped Republican politics for years. The question now is whether 2028 becomes Rubio’s moment, Vance’s lane, or a comeback test for DeSantis.Who do you think would be the strongest Republican ticket in 2028?Sources: The Miami Times#MarcoRubio #RonDeSantis #JDVance #Politics
