Tinubu mandates Shettima to lead Nigeria’s delegation to 81st UNGAPresident Bola Tinubu has mandated Vice President Kashim Shettima to represent him and lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.The delegation will include Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal, ministers and other senior government officials, according to a statement from the Vice President’s media aide, Stanley Nkwocha.Shettima is expected to represent Nigeria at the high-level gathering and participate in bilateral engagements with foreign leaders, international organisations and development partners on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
The development confirms that Tinubu will not be physically present at this year’s UN General Assembly, following earlier reports about his attendance.
