Tinubu Promises Clean Water Supply for All FCT Area Councils. President Bola Tinubu has pledged to extend the provision of clean and potable water to all area councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as part of his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of residents.The President, represented by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, made the pledge on Tuesday during the inauguration of the newly constructed Bwari Water Supply Network in Bwari Area Council.Tinubu said residents of Bwari, Ushafa and neighbouring communities had for years depended on untreated boreholes and streams for their water needs, exposing them to health risks associated with unsafe water.

He described the inauguration of the project as a fulfilment of his administration’s promise under the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to delivering essential infrastructure to Nigerians.According to the President, the newly inaugurated 198-kilometre state-of-the-art water pipeline network links Bwari Township and surrounding communities directly to the treated water source at the Lower Usuma Dam.He said the project would significantly improve access to safe drinking water, reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases and eliminate the need for residents to rely on costly individual boreholes.Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to replicate similar water infrastructure projects across all area councils in the FCT to ensure more residents have access to clean and reliable water supply.
