Abuja – President Bola Tinubu on Thursday presented Vice President Kashim Shettima with the official certificate confirming his selection as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The presentation took place during a brief ceremony at the President’s office in the State House, Abuja.A 45-second video shared by the State House media office showed Shettima being ushered into Tinubu’s office by the President’s Liaison Officer before receiving the certificate.The presentation comes days after the APC formally submitted the nomination forms of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the commission’s July 11, 2026, deadline for the submission of presidential candidates.The certificate formally confirms Shettima’s nomination as Tinubu’s running mate as the ruling party prepares for the 2027 presidential election.
