Spain Reinforces Ceuta Security After Massive Migrant Influx. Spain’s Interior Ministry has reinforced security in the North African enclave of Ceuta following the arrival of an estimated 49,000 migrants within 24 hours.According to the ministry, additional security personnel and equipment have been deployed to the enclave to strengthen border surveillance and manage the unprecedented influx.The reinforcement includes the deployment of additional police officers, eight divers, a patrol boat and drones to monitor both land and maritime entry points.
The move comes after thousands of migrants reportedly crossed into Ceuta by sea and land from neighbouring Morocco, placing significant pressure on Spanish border authorities.Spanish officials said the enhanced security measures are aimed at restoring order, strengthening border control and responding effectively to the evolving situation, while authorities continue to monitor developments closely.
