Nigeria’s Ambassador to Mexico, Reno Omokri, has unveiled plans to expand the country’s exports of refined petroleum products and urea fertiliser to the Mexican market as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral trade.Omokri disclosed this after meeting Senate President Godswill Akpabio in Abuja, saying arrangements were underway for Mexican officials to visit the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to explore possible business partnerships. He revealed that Nigeria already exports urea fertiliser to Mexico, but the current volume remains relatively small.
He believes Nigeria can increase supplies by offering competitive prices and using its growing industrial capacity.Akpabio pledged the Senate’s support for the initiative, including plans to explore a Nigerian-Mexican parliamentary friendship group to strengthen cooperation and promote trade between both countries.
