Ortom Denies Plot to Replace Benue PDP Governorship Candidate. Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has dismissed reports alleging that he is behind a plan to replace the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the state, Michael Aondoakaa, ahead of the 2027 general election.Ortom described the reports circulating on social media as false and misleading, insisting that there is no plot to substitute the party’s governorship candidate.He reaffirmed his support for the PDP’s candidate and urged party members and supporters to disregard the speculation, stressing the need for unity as preparations for the election continue.

The former governor also cautioned against the spread of misinformation capable of creating unnecessary divisions within the party.The clarification comes amid increasing political activities and consultations as parties position themselves for the 2027 governorship election in Benue State.
