By Johnson Idowu, the family of a Nigerian woman, Christiana Nwosu, has launched a fundraising campaign to repatriate her remains to Nigeria after she reportedly died of cardiac arrest while visiting the United Kingdom.The appeal was made through a GoFundMe campaign signed by Chijioke Metuka on behalf of the Nwosu family.According to the appeal, Nwosu died on July 19, 2026, leaving her children, relatives and loved ones devastated by her sudden passing.Metuka described the deceased as “a beacon of light, love and warmth,” noting that her death has created an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew her.
The family appealed to members of the public for financial support to enable them transport Nwosu’s remains back to Nigeria for burial, saying the unexpected loss has placed a significant emotional and financial burden on the family.The fundraising campaign is aimed at covering the cost of repatriating the deceased’s body and making the necessary funeral arrangements.
