Operation HADIN KAI Intercepts Suspected Foreign Drug Courier, Seizes Supplies Meant for – Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have intercepted a suspected foreign drug courier and recovered a large consignment of illicit drugs, alcoholic beverages and other prohibited substances allegedly destined for terrorists operating in the Lake Chad Islands.The suspect was arrested during an operation conducted on Thursday, July 9, 2026, while travelling towards Kwatan Doron Baga in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.Military authorities said the operation led to the recovery of a significant quantity of prohibited items believed to have been intended for terrorist groups operating within the Lake Chad region.
The interception is part of ongoing efforts by Operation HADIN KAI to disrupt terrorist logistics and supply networks, as well as strengthen security operations across the North-East.The suspect is currently in custody while investigations are underway to determine the source of the recovered items and identify other members of the suspected supply network.
