A former Bayelsa State senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, has commended President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria’s security agencies following the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State.
Murray-Bruce described the operation as a reflection of effective leadership, intelligence gathering and professionalism among the nation’s security forces.
In a statement shared on his verified X handle on Friday, the former lawmaker said the safe return of the victims showed the importance of coordinated efforts in tackling insecurity.
“The successful rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State is a remarkable achievement and a testament to what can be accomplished when leadership, intelligence, and professionalism come together,” he stated.
He praised President Tinubu for his commitment to protecting Nigerians and commended the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for his role in coordinating the country’s security architecture.
Murray-Bruce also applauded the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security personnel involved in the rescue operation, describing their efforts as a significant achievement.
According to him, every child safely reunited with their family represents a victory for the country and a development that deserves recognition and encouragement.
His comments came after the Presidency confirmed that the abducted pupils and teachers were rescued alive through a coordinated security operation.
