Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved the appointment of Sagiru Haliru Muhammad as the new Director-General of the Directorate of Protocol Affairs.
The appointment, which takes effect from September 2, 2026, was announced by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, in a statement released to journalists on Wednesday.
According to the statement, Muhammad’s appointment was based on his merit, proven track record, and commitment to the service of Kebbi State.
Governor Idris expressed confidence that the new Director-General would use his experience and professionalism to improve the operations of the Directorate of Protocol Affairs.
The governor charged Muhammad to carry out his duties with diligence, responsibility, and dedication, stressing that the appointment aligns with his administration’s efforts to strengthen governance and achieve its development objectives in the state.
