Kebbi ADC Alleges Political Persecution of Malami Ahead of 2027 ElectionsBirnin Kebbi – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State has alleged that the investigation and prosecution of its governorship candidate and former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), are politically motivated.The party made the allegation while reacting to the ongoing investigation involving Malami, insisting that it would not be intimidated ahead of the 2027 general elections.According to the ADC, the actions against the former minister are aimed at undermining its chances in the forthcoming governorship election and weakening the opposition in the state.The party maintained that it remains committed to pursuing its political agenda despite what it described as attempts to intimidate its leaders and members.
It expressed confidence in Malami’s innocence and urged the relevant authorities to ensure that the investigation and any subsequent prosecution are conducted professionally, fairly and without political interference.The ADC reaffirmed its resolve to participate fully in the 2027 elections, insisting that it would not be deterred by what it described as politically motivated actions against its governorship candidate.
