G-100 Coalition Urges Opposition to Present Single Presidential Candidate for 2027.A coalition of 100 prominent Nigerians, known as the G-100, has called on opposition political parties to unite behind a single presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.The group said presenting a consensus candidate would strengthen the opposition’s chances of providing an effective alternative and addressing Nigeria’s current political and socio-economic challenges.According to the coalition, a united front is necessary to avoid a fragmented opposition vote and enhance the prospects of a competitive presidential contest in 2027.
The G-100 maintained that collaboration among opposition parties would promote national interest and increase the likelihood of achieving meaningful political change through the electoral process.The coalition urged political leaders across the opposition to place the country’s interests above personal ambitions by working towards the emergence of a single presidential flag bearer ahead of the 2027 election.
