A fire incident has occurred at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) confirmed the incident in a statement shared on its official X handle on Sunday.
FAAN said its Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) was immediately deployed to the scene to contain the outbreak and prevent further damage.
The airport authority assured the public that no casualty or loss of life had been recorded from the incident.
“The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) wishes to inform the public that a fire incident has occurred at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
“The FAAN Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) is currently responding to the incident and working diligently to contain the situation,” the statement read.
FAAN did not immediately disclose the cause of the fire or the extent of damage caused by the incident.
