Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that FCT residents will support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, urging them not to repeat what he described as a political mistake in the 2023 general elections.Speaking on Thursday, October 22, at an interactive session organised by the Rainbow Coalition in Bwari Area Council, Abuja, Wike questioned whether residents would make the same political choice again. The coalition brings together members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other political groups.Wike attributed his call for continued support to ongoing infrastructure projects and initiatives under the Tinubu administration.
He also criticised the representation of FCT Senator Ireti Kingibe, asking residents whether they had felt her impact, and presented former senator Philip Aduda and John Gbadaya as the coalition’s preferred candidates. The minister urged residents to prioritise development over party affiliation as political mobilisation intensifies ahead of the 2027 general elections. His remarks form part of efforts to consolidate support for Tinubu and allied candidates across the territory.👉 Follow Daily Times Nigeria for more updates.#DailyTimesNigeria #NyesomWike #Tinubu #2027Elections #NigeriaNews
