The protesters marched to the palace of the Och’Idoma and blocked major entry points into the ancient town, including the Enugu–Otukpo and Makurdi–Otukpo roads, disrupting vehicular movement.
The demonstrators called on security agencies and the government to take decisive action to end the recurring attacks and protect communities from further violence.As of the time of filing this report, authorities had yet to issue an official statement on the attack, while tension remained high in the affected area.
