Anambra Lawmaker Empowers Over 500 Constituents With Cars, Tricycles, Scholarships. A member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Oby Orogbu, has empowered more than 500 constituents with cars, tricycles and scholarships as part of efforts to reduce poverty and promote self-reliance.The empowerment programme, according to the lawmaker, was designed to provide beneficiaries with means of livelihood and support educational advancement among residents of her constituency.Beneficiaries received various forms of support, including vehicles and tricycles to enable them to establish or expand businesses, while students were awarded scholarships to ease the financial burden of education.Orogbu said the initiative was aimed at improving the economic well-being of her constituents and creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.She urged the beneficiaries to make productive use of the items and educational support, stressing the importance of self-reliance and community development.
The programme attracted residents and community stakeholders, who commended the lawmaker for supporting constituents through empowerment and educational initiatives.
