FCT ALGON CHAIRMAN MAIKALANGU WELCOMES WIKE AT ONGOING APO–KARSHI ROAD PROJECT, DESCRIBES HIM AS AN “ANSWERED PRAYER” …..Says Project Will Transform Connectivity, Commerce and Development Across the CorridorThe Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), FCT Chapter, and Executive Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has warmly welcomed the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, while expressing profound appreciation for the ongoing Apo–Karshi Road project.Maikalangu described the project as a landmark intervention that will significantly improve transportation, connectivity, economic activities and the general quality of life of residents along the Apo–Karshi corridor and adjoining communities.The AMAC Chairman noted that for many years, residents of communities around the corridor had looked forward to a lasting solution to the challenges associated with movement and transportation along the route.He therefore commended Minister Wike for giving the project the attention and priority required to move it forward.“On behalf of the people of AMAC, particularly residents and communities along the Apo–Karshi corridor, I sincerely appreciate the Honourable Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, for the ongoing work on this very important road. “This is a project that means a lot to our people. It will open up communities, improve movement, stimulate economic activities and further connect our people to opportunities.”Maikalangu described the intervention as evidence of the FCT Administration’s attention to infrastructure beyond the traditional city centre, noting that improved road connectivity is essential to the sustainable development of satellite communities.He added that the completion of the Apo–Karshi Road would have significant benefits for residents, businesses, commuters and communities within AMAC and beyond.“For us at AMAC, the Apo–Karshi Road is more than just a road project. It is a connection to economic opportunities, better mobility and improved livelihoods. “We are grateful to the Minister for his commitment to seeing this project through.”
