The lawmaker said the military high command deserved national recognition for what he described as significant improvements in security operations across the country. He cited the recent rescue of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, as well as the successful foiling of an attempted mass abduction of students in Monguno, Borno State, as evidence of the armed forces’ growing operational effectiveness.According to Agbese, the recent successes reflect the commitment, professionalism and resilience of Nigeria’s military leadership in addressing the country’s security challenges. He urged President Tinubu to reward the service chiefs with the prestigious national honour, noting that such recognition would boost the morale of security personnel and encourage sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities.
