The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced a fresh power outage affecting some parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The electricity distribution company disclosed the development in a notice issued on Tuesday, attributing the disruption to a fault in a high-voltage underground cable.
According to AEDC, the affected areas include Usuma Street, off Gana Street, Zenith Bank, H-Medix, and surrounding locations in Maitama, Abuja.
The company explained that its technical team was working to identify and repair the fault to restore electricity supply to affected customers.
“We wish to inform you that the current power outage is due to a fault in a high-voltage underground cable,” AEDC stated.
Meanwhile, electricity consumers in other parts of Abuja, including Apo Resettlement and Wuye, have also reported experiencing power outages since Monday, raising concerns over recurring disruptions in the nation’s capital.
