Accord Party Urges INEC to Ensure Credible Osun Governorship ElectionOsogbo — The Accord Party Campaign Council in Osun State has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a transparent, free and credible conduct of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.The council urged the electoral bodyp to take proactive measures to address concerns arising from previous off-cycle elections, stressing the need to strengthen public confidence in the electoral process.According to the campaign council, INEC must remain impartial and ensure that all eligible voters are given the opportunity to exercise their franchise without intimidation or interference.
The party also appealed to relevant security agencies and election stakeholders to work together to guarantee a peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the poll, expressing hope that the election would reflect the genuine will of the people of Osun State.
