The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has expressed confidence that a presidential ticket comprising former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi would defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Abdullahi stated that the proposed Atiku-Amaechi ticket would present a formidable opposition capable of unseating the incumbent president, arguing that the ADC is positioning itself as a credible alternative ahead of the next presidential election.According to the ADC spokesperson, the party is focused on building a broad political coalition and strengthening its structures to enhance its chances in the 2027 polls. His remarks come amid ongoing political realignments and discussions among opposition figures over possible alliances and candidates for the next general election. However, neither Atiku Abubakar nor Rotimi Amaechi has officially confirmed any joint presidential ambition under the ADC as political consultations continue ahead of the 2027 elections.
