Former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of blaming the opposition to avoid responsibility for Nigeria’s hunger, poverty and economic hardship. Atiku said the APC had governed for over a decade and Nigerians knew who was responsible for the country’s current challenges. In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Atiku challenged Tinubu to explain the impact of his administration’s policies, including petrol subsidy removal, naira depreciation and rising poverty.Atiku also questioned the commissioning of the unfinished Abuja–Kaduna Expressway, alleged spending linked to NNPC pipelines and energy security, and financial gaps in Nigeria’s external accounts. He further criticised the government over insecurity, killings, kidnappings and displacement in communities. He said Nigerians would judge Tinubu by their living conditions rather than campaign promises, describing the 2027 presidential election as a referendum on the President’s record.
Atiku insisted that the government should explain what it had done to ease hardship instead of blaming the opposition.Nigeria for more updates.Nigeria #AtikuAbubakar #BolaTinubu #NigeriaNews #trendingnow
