Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared his support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Akpabio made the declaration during the 39th anniversary celebration of Akwa Ibom State, where he called on residents to support the APC and its candidates.
The Senate President said Tinubu’s economic reforms, though requiring sacrifices from Nigerians, would lay the foundation for long-term development and industrialisation.
He also praised Governor Eno for promoting cooperation across political divides and urged the people of Akwa Ibom to support his administration.
Akpabio further expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure strong support from the South-South region and other parts of Nigeria in 2027.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a friend of the South-South zone and he will get maximum victory from the region and other parts of the country,” Akpabio said.
He also called for stronger cooperation between Akwa Ibom and neighbouring Cross River State, saying both states share historical and cultural ties that could boost regional development.
