Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has expressed confidence that the developmental projects being executed by his administration will translate into 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The governor stated this during an inspection of the ongoing construction of the ultra-modern Jattu Market in Etsako West Local Government Area, describing the project as one of several initiatives aimed at transforming the state’s economy and improving the welfare of residents.
According to Okpebholo, the numerous infrastructure projects across Edo State demonstrate the commitment of his administration to delivering the dividends of democracy and will strengthen public support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Tinubu ahead of the next general elections.
He noted that the Jattu Market, when completed, would boost commercial activities, create employment opportunities, and enhance the livelihoods of traders and residents in Edo North and beyond. The governor maintained that the confidence reposed in his administration by the people would be rewarded through sustained development, insisting that the projects being delivered across the state would form the foundation of the 2.5 million votes promised for President Tinubu in 2027.Also speaking during the inspection, the Minister of Regional Development, Abubakar Momoh, commended the project, describing it as a strategic investment that would revive the historical significance of the Jattu Market and stimulate economic growth in the area.
Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, also praised the initiative, saying the modern market would provide a safer and more conducive environment for businesses while preserving its status as a major commercial hub in the region.
