CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue Joins 66th Independence Parade in CalabarThe Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, has joined other government officials and security agencies at the 66th Independence Anniversary parade in Calabar.The parade was held on Thursday, October 1st, 2026, at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar, as Nigerians across the country marked 66 years of independence.CP Ordue, alongside heads of other security agencies, government officials, uniformed formations and other stakeholders, was present at the ceremony to mark the historic national celebration.

The event featured a parade by security and uniformed formations, as Cross River joined the rest of Nigeria to commemorate the country’s independence from British colonial rule on October 1, 1960.The 66th Independence Anniversary provided an opportunity for residents and leaders to celebrate Nigeria’s journey since independence and reflect on the country’s progress and future.
