FG Deploys Special Guards to Protect Lagos-Calabar Highway. The Federal Government has deployed special security personnel to protect the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and safeguard motorists and other road users along the route.The deployment is aimed at strengthening security on the major infrastructure project and preventing criminal activities that could threaten workers, commuters and construction activities.
The special guards are expected to provide security coverage along vulnerable sections of the highway while working with other security agencies to maintain law and order.The move comes as construction work continues on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, one of the Federal Government’s major infrastructure projects.The government said enhanced security would help ensure the smooth execution of the project and protect critical infrastructure along the coastal corridor.
