Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has questioned the educational credentials of President Bola Tinubu, alleging that the President did not submit his primary and secondary school certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Melaye, in a post on his X account, claimed that documents submitted by Tinubu to INEC ahead of the 2027 presidential election did not include evidence of primary or secondary education.
“See what Tinubu submitted to INEC, no primary, no secondary school, no Nigerian classmate,” Melaye wrote.
He also questioned how Tinubu gained admission to a foreign university without presenting primary and secondary school certificates.
The former lawmaker’s comments come as Tinubu prepares to contest the 2027 presidential election as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu emerged victorious in the 2023 presidential election, defeating the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and Labour Party’s Peter Obi.
Questions surrounding Tinubu’s academic records and certificates were raised during the 2023 election cycle, with the matter generating legal and public debate.
