Atiku Rules Out Stepping Down for ADC Ticket, Accuses Tinubu of Interfering in Opposition Coalition. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that he will not step down from the race for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.In a statement issued on Tuesday by his media adviser, Paul Ibe, Atiku also accused President Bola Tinubu of interfering in the internal affairs of the opposition coalition, alleging attempts to influence developments within the party.

The former vice president further called on Nigerians to resist what he described as efforts by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to intimidate and weaken the opposition ahead of the next general elections.Atiku maintained that a strong and united opposition remains essential to Nigeria’s democratic process, urging citizens to support initiatives aimed at protecting democratic institutions and ensuring credible electoral competition.
