Two US-based advocacy groups, Avid Rising Sun and Ambassadors for Self-Determination, have demanded the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu over concerns about his health and called for a referendum on self-determination in Nigeria.
The groups urged Nigerian authorities to address the issue through democratic debate and called on the British government to intervene over Nnamdi Kanu detention.
