Tinubu charged council members to demonstrate unity, discipline and commitment while promoting the administration’s policies and achievements. He also stressed that campaigning must not distract his government from its responsibilities, saying he would continue engaging Nigerians while the council coordinates political mobilisation across the country.Vice-President Kashim Shettima, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma expressed support for the re-election effort. Uzodimma, who serves as the council’s secretary, defended the administration’s economic reforms, including the removal of petrol subsidies and changes to the foreign exchange system, while acknowledging that the measures had caused hardship for some Nigerians.Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike also pledged support for Tinubu’s second-term bid despite their different political affiliations.
