The Oyo Police Command has confirmed that a building collapse in the Ojugbede Jegede area of Ibadan has resulted in the deaths of ten individuals, with eight others suffering serious injuries. The incident occurred early Thursday morning, around 2:00 AM.

Police spokesman Adewale Osifeso stated that the storey building collapsed, leading to immediate fatalities and severe injuries. Authorities have increased security in the area to prevent disturbances and to protect residents.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collapse, with updates expected to follow.
